Formerly WASBE (Singapore), the Wind Bands Association of Singapore (WBAS) is a non-profit organisation
that aims to enhance the quality of wind bands in Singapore through promoting wind band activities such as concerts, workshops and masterclasses.
Dedicated to serving the local band community, the association is for all band members, conductors, composers, teachers, publishers, instrument makers and friends of wind music.

“Developing and sharing good quality music through Wind Band Ensembles; Singapore and
beyond”
The Wind Bands Association of Singapore and the Festival Artistic Advisory Council would like to invite you and your band to share with us this vision at the Singapore International Band Festival 2008.
The various components of this Festival-- Competition, International Band Exchange, Workshops and Outreach Programme, help us to promote band activities beyond schools and provide a platform where band members continuously strive for excellence to raise the standard of bands in Singapore and abroad.
Through these activities, participants will also have an opportunity to experience the dynamic quality present in wind music repertoire in Singapore and around the world. We also invite bands to join us in enriching ourselves as well as reaching out to the community-at-large through the joy of playing wind band music.
We look forward to meeting you at the Band Festival and hope you and your band will benefit greatly from this Band Festival.

New Domain
With immediate effect, our new website and email domain will be changed to wbas.org.sg
Rename of Association
With effect from January 2007, the society has changed its name from World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (Singapore) to Wind Bands Association of Singapore (WBAS).
At the same time, we will also cease to represent WASBE as a local chapter.
We look forward for your continued support as we work to serve you better.
