About WBAS
The Wind Bands Association of Singapore (WBAS) was formed in 2001 by a group of dedicated band conductors, musicians, teachers, professors and enthusiasts with the vision to promote wind band activities as well as enhance the quality of wind bands in Singapore.

Dedicated to serving the local band community, the association is open to all band members, conductors, composers, teachers, publisher, instrument makers and friends of wind music.
In line with its mission, the society has launched a slew of initiatives, which include activities ranging from concerts to workshops and masterclasses. Through such activities, we hope to:

Objectives
-
To promote symphonic bands and ensembles as a serious and distinctive medium of musical expression and cultural heritage in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

To encourage the composition of band literature of excellence that reflect the heritage of Singapore and Southeast Asia , at the same time transcending international boundaries.

To have all such other objects and do all such other things as are complimentary or incidental to the attainment of the foregoing objects, or any of them and particularly as follows:

Establish national and regional Wind Bands Association of Singapore seminars, workshops and other events.
